In Abandoned Rickshaw II, I returned to the same motif: the handlebar of a rickshaw, left behind next to a fence on a street in Rangoon. This time, I approached the composition more directly, almost as if physically getting closer to the object, highlighting the contrast between the intense red, the worn-out metal, and the vibrant green of the background. I painted with quick gestures and vivid material, trying to capture not only the image of something abandoned, but also its residual strength — its silent energy. I’m drawn to how a simple, forgotten object can still speak of movement, of labor, and of the city that breathes around it.
