Serie Sandmann

In this series I present different takes on a single character: Sandmann. Through drawing, I explore his gesture, his presence, his shifting energy. Each piece springs from a different impulse, a direct emotion, and that transforms the line, the rhythm, the form.

I’m not after a fixed depiction or a finished image. I’m interested in what emerges when I draw quickly, letting intuition guide the figure’s construction. Sandmann twists, simplifies, stretches, or dissolves depending on the moment. Each sketch stands on its own, yet they all engage in a dialogue of movement and variation.

This series is also an exercise in free observation, plastic rhythm, and spontaneity: a way to approach the same figure from multiple angles without imposing a definitive shape.
