Collection: Naturaleza Muerta
This series gathers a selection of still lifes in which objects become silent protagonists. Far from following the classical canon, these works explore the expressive potential of the everyday through an intimate, deliberately unidealized gaze. Here, composition is more than a formal question: it’s a way of creating meaning.
Some pieces spring from direct observation, others from photographic references, but all share a desire to capture the fleeting, to give weight to what normally goes unnoticed. The object—a boot, a branch, an empty bottle—isn’t there to decorate, but to evoke an atmosphere. What matters isn’t just its shape, but the echo it produces once placed on stage.
These paintings speak in hushed tones. They say something about time, matter, resistance. Every choice—the support, the lighting, the painterly gesture—is conceived to sustain that tension between the simple and the significant. Painting these objects is, above all, an act of attention.
