This painting was born from a walk through the streets of Rangoon, where I came across this abandoned rickshaw, rusted, half-covered by urban debris.
What struck me most was the handlebar — that small gesture of the machine still holding on, almost like a hand extended in the midst of forgetting.
I wanted to approach the scene freely, letting the brushstroke and the materiality of the paint speak of the energy that still survives in objects others no longer see.
For me, this piece is not just a fragment of the city: it is also a living memory of movement, of labor, of the passage of time.
