In Rickshaw, I wanted to capture not only the physical presence of this humble vehicle, but also the emotional weight it carries: the wear, the memory of movement, and the quiet dignity of those who use it. I first worked the background in acrylic to create a rough surface, almost like a weathered wall, and then built the final image in oil, allowing color and material to breathe together. The blue acts as a space of relief, while the wheels and structure merge with the surroundings — as if the rickshaw were slowly fading into the city, resisting the passage of time.
