This drawing emerged as an exercise in observation and synthesis, aiming to capture a frozen scene, almost theatrical. I am interested in the moment when two figures are in dialogue — or perhaps confrontation — without the need for written words. The tension created between both bodies speaks of human relationships: power, hierarchy, difference.
Despite its formal simplicity, this study allowed me to explore the expressiveness of the face and body without the need for excessive detail. I enjoyed finding that economy of stroke that, with little, says a lot. As in other sketches, I am less concerned with precision and more with what lingers in the air: what the gazes and gestures can suggest without explaining everything.
