In Still Life Series 5.1, I focused on a crumpled paper bag accompanied by an apple, set in a space that vibrates between color and shadow. I wanted to highlight the fragility of the everyday: the bag as a symbol of fleeting consumption, and the apple as an echo of something still alive but ephemeral. I worked with charcoal and pastel to create a contrast between the apparent solidity of the objects and the more tattered, almost turbulent background. This work, like the rest of the series, poses a silent question about what we value and what we let slip into oblivion.
