In Still Life Series 4.1, I returned to the same group of objects—crushed bottles and a small toy horse—but this time I worked with cleaner strokes and a more limited palette. I wanted to emphasize the emptiness surrounding the objects, that silent space which is also part of what has already been forgotten. The contrast between the residual red of the bottles and the vibrant blue of the horse creates a subtle tension, almost like a small act of resistance within a landscape of abandonment. This work, like the entire series, aims to arrest the viewer’s gaze on what fast consumption tends to erase without a trace.
