This series of sketches, with Dead Bee Sketch 01 as the starting point, offers a visual reflection on the fragility of life and the importance of small, often invisible beings in the functioning of our natural environment.
In each sketch, a bee appears trapped in its stillness; its death becomes an image loaded with symbolism, almost ritualistic.
The technique used adds a tactile quality to the work: textures and shadows play a central role in conveying the drama of the scene.
The bee, although dead, remains present: it invites us to think beyond its body, to recognize its role in our daily lives and the speed with which its disappearance can affect the balance of the world.
Each stroke in these studies seeks a connection between nature and human fragility, showing how such a small being can be essential for life on Earth.
